As a front desk or front office associate, you are responsible for performing various administrative job duties


             Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Register guest and assign rooms. Accommodates special requests whenever possible.
  • Knows room locations, types of rooms available, and room rates.
  • Must be sales-minded. Presents options and alternatives to guests and offers assistance in making choices.
  • Uses suggestive selling to sell rooms and to promote other services of the hotel.
  • Coordinates room status updates with the housekeeping department, all checkouts, early check-ins, special requests.
  • Takes reservations and cancellation procedures.
  • Maintains guest room key storage, and maintains and supervises access to safe deposit boxes.
  • Knows how to use front office equipment.
  • Performs cashier-related functions, bill settlement, posting charges to guest, paid outs, foreign exchange, etc.
  • Coordinates with the maintenance department for repair work requests.
  • Knows message and package handling procedures and records details. Advise guests of any messages, mail, package, etc . received for them.
  • Communicate services and amenities of the hotel to guests.
  • Direct bell service personnel to escort guests and transport their luggage to the room.
  • Reports any unusual occurrences or requests to the manager-on-duty.
  • Knows all safety and emergency procedures and is aware of accident prevention policies.
  • Perform other duties that may be assigned/requested by the management

 

 

    Job Summary and Qualifications:

    • Responsible for administrative tasks such as answering phones, making reservations and updating guest information in hotel’s computer system.
    • Must have a good understanding of the hotel’s policies and procedures to effectively assists guests.
    • Must possess excellent communication skills, detail-oriented, and have the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
    • Must be able to handle difficult situations with grace and professionalism.
    • Flexibility in hours as you will be working rostered shifts.
